Important Vacancy Rules
Candidates can apply for one state only.
A candidate applying for one state cannot apply for another state.

IOB LBO Advance Increment for Previous Banking Experience
IOB provides an advance-increment provision for eligible candidates who have previous officer-level experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks.
One advance increment may be granted for each completed year of prior service as an Officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks.
A maximum of two advance increments can be granted.
The previous job profile must substantially match the Scale-I Generalist Officer role of IOB.
Candidates working with subsidiaries of Scheduled Commercial Banks may be eligible for one increment.
Prior experience will not be counted for service seniority.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
A Degree/Graduation in any discipline.
The degree must be from a University/Institution recognised or approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.

Is Banking Experience Mandatory for IOB LBO?

Negative Marking
There is negative marking in the online examination.
For every incorrect answer, 1/4th (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

IOB LBO Probation Period
Candidates selected for appointment as Local Bank Officers will be placed on probation for:
2 years of active service
